Channel Settings
This guide covers all the settings available when configuring your channel.
Accessing Settings
- Navigate to your channel
- Click the Settings icon in the channel header
- Or select Edit Channel from the channel menu
Settings Tabs
The channel settings form is organized into tabs:
Basic Settings

| Unique Name | URL-friendly identifier (cannot be changed after creation) |
| Display Name | Public name shown to users |
| Description | Channel description (Markdown supported) |
| Icon | Channel icon image |
| Banner | Channel banner image |
Rules
Write channel-specific rules that users must follow:
- Use Markdown for formatting
- Be specific about expectations
- Reference server rules if applicable
- Rules are displayed on the channel about page
Calendar
Configure event-related settings:

Pipelines
Configure plugin automations:
- Select which plugins run on channel events
- Configure plugin order
- Set channel-specific plugin settings
Plugins
Enable or disable plugins for this channel:
- View available plugins
- Enable/disable per plugin
- Configure plugin secrets if required
Feature Toggles
Control which features are available in your channel:

Image Uploads
Control image upload behavior:

Channel Images

Content Settings
Tags
Tags help organize content:
- Go to Channel Settings
- Find the Tags section
- Add or remove tags
- Tags can be used to filter discussions and events
Filter Groups
Create custom filter categories for downloads:
- Go to Channel Settings → Downloads
- Click Add Filter Group
- Define filter key and display name
- Add filter options
- Users can filter downloads by these categories
Example filter group for a 3D printing channel:
- Key:
lot_size - Display Name: "Print Size"
- Options: "Small", "Medium", "Large", "Extra Large"
Pinned Content
Pin important content to the top of your channel:
Pinning Discussions:
- Navigate to the discussion
- Click the action menu
- Select Pin to Channel
Pinning Wiki Pages:
- Navigate to the wiki page
- Click Pin
Pinned content appears at the top of relevant lists.
Moderation Settings
Channel Roles
Channels can define custom role permissions that override server defaults:

ElevatedModRole | Elevated moderator permissions |
SuspendedRole | Permissions for suspended users |

Managing Owners
Adding Owners:
- Go to Channel Settings
- Find Channel Owners section
- Click Invite Owner
- Enter username
- User must accept invitation
Removing Owners:
- Find the owner in the list
- Click Remove
- Confirm removal
Note: At least one owner must remain.
Managing Moderators
Adding Moderators:
- Go to Channel Settings
- Find Moderators section
- Click Invite Moderator
- Enter username
- Choose role level
- User must accept invitation
Removing Moderators:
- Find the moderator in the list
- Click Remove
- Confirm removal
Related Channels
Link to related channels:
- Go to Channel Settings
- Find Related Channels section
- Add channels by name
- Related channels appear in the channel sidebar
Locking a Channel
To prevent new content:
- Go to Channel Settings
- Click Lock Channel
- Enter a reason
- The channel is locked
Locked channels:
- Cannot receive new discussions, events, or comments
- Existing content remains visible
- Moderators can still perform actions
- Can be unlocked by owners
Deleting a Channel
Warning: Channel deletion is permanent.
- Go to Channel Settings
- Scroll to the bottom
- Click Delete Channel
- Type the channel name to confirm
- Click Permanently Delete
Best Practices
Clear Descriptions
Write descriptions that:
- Explain the channel's purpose
- State what content is welcome
- Link to rules or wiki for details
Appropriate Settings
Consider your community's needs:
- Disable features that aren't relevant
- Set appropriate file type restrictions
- Configure moderation strictness
Regular Maintenance
Periodically review:
- Moderator list and permissions
- Channel rules and description
- Feature settings
- Suspended users
